| The original gardens at Drumthwacket were designed in the Italianesque style at the end of the 19th century. Due to age and neglect, redesign was necessary. The current layout reflects the new uses of the space. Tours of the mansion, public events and official state functions now take place in the gardens. The design retains some of the classic garden lines, while making use of current plant introductions. |
